Since the beginning of my time in Congress, I have worked tirelessly to meet the critical needs in every part of our diverse region. Serving California’s 2nd District has been the honor of my life, and I’m grateful for voters once again placing their trust and confidence in me to do this important work for another 2 years.

Our resounding victory is both humbling and energizing – I’m ready to dig even deeper, work even harder, and more effectively for our district.

That starts with a trip to the COP27 climate summit where I’ll meet with world leaders to jointly tackle the global challenge of climate change, building on our previous successes and forging new paths. I would be remiss to not express my special appreciation for all of the support and friendships that make this work possible.

While we await final results for many races here in California and nationwide, we should take a moment to be proud of our hard work throughout this election. We knew that holding the House majority would be an uphill battle, but we showed up, organized, and rallied to defend our progress – and many early returns have shown the impact of that dedication and perseverance.

We’ll know more in the coming days, but for now, I thank you again for your unparalleled support.
