We want to start by saying thank you. We are humbly grateful to you — our friends, partners, and supporters. We stand, we fight, and we persist in the movement alongside you. Your passion, commitment, ideas, financial support, and tireless efforts keep our movement to protect the freedom to vote going.
We know you are all experiencing a range of emotions today following the loss of the Georgia governor’s race. Stacey Abrams’ campaign and the unprecedented coalition she has built have represented hope that Georgia and our nation will live up to their promise, which we one day will. At the same time, we are heartened by the many pro-democracy election wins across the country.
Stacey’s legacy — her fight, grit, resilience, and commitment to caring for Georgians, particularly people of color, young voters, the disability community, and others who have been historically left out — remains at the heart of our mission here at Fair Fight.
Because of her, Georgia voters are plugged in and committed to participating in our democracy. Because of her — and because of people like you who kept pressing on after 2018 — we flipped two Georgia Senate seats, we cinched the victory for President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, and we’re on the verge of re-electing Senator Raphael Warnock. This is no time to give up hope.
The results of one election are never the full measure of our impact. Despite an onslaught of anti-voter threats leading up to yesterday, our organization has put in place key voter protection infrastructure that helped protect our right to vote during this election, and will build to safeguard democracy for the long haul.
Together, we can keep making sure that more Georgia voters can make their voices heard in our democracy — and our mission has never been more urgent now that Raphael Warnock is headed for a runoff in less than one month.
The people of Georgia and voters across the country still need us to have their backs and to help them vocalize their power. Will you chip in $20 or any amount you can to help Fair Fight turn out eligible voters during the runoff, make sure they’re able to cast their ballots, have those ballots counted, and send Raphael Warnock back to the Senate?
