I am proud to announce that I’ve been re-elected to the Minnesota House for another term! I'm grateful to have your support and appreciative of all the hard work of community volunteers, staff, and voters who believe in our district and its ability to thrive. I am honored to serve the people of Edina and Bloomington in the upcoming legislative session and cannot wait to get to work.
This morning’s victory is historic. We won a DFL majority in the Minnesota House and Senate, and we re-elected Governor Walz!
We knew there was a path to success, but actually seeing the numbers roll in last night made it real. These majorities mean it will be even easier to protect women’s reproductive freedom, increase our environmental actions and prevent climate change, protect families against gun violence, increase funding for education, ensure everybody has access to mental healthcare, invest in an economy that works for everybody, and so much more. We cannot wait to deliver positive change for the people of Minnesota.
I also want to draw attention to the important re-election of Governor Walz, Secretary of State Steve Simon, Attorney General Keith Ellison, and State Auditor Julie Blaha. Creating and enforcing successful policies takes a village, and I’m thankful we’ll have strong DFL leaders elected on the state level that can partner with us. Last night was truly amazing news for our state and for the protection of our democracy.
Again, none of this would have been possible without countless hours of volunteering, many dollars donated, conversations with neighbors, and the ballots casted. I hope you are all proud of the work you’ve done to make your community a better, safer place, and look forward to our partnership.
