From Day One of my re-election campaign in this newly drawn district, I focused on hearing from my current constituents along with meeting the new communities in the vibrant CA-51 to earn their support. I am honored to win the continued trust of our community and am immensely grateful to everyone who joined our campaign.

We are at a pivotal moment for our country, and if we're going to address the most pressing issues of our time and fight against the threats to our democracy and our bodily autonomy, we need more young voices in Washington ready to work on our oldest problems in a new way. Last night, San Diego showed that they want a leader who doesn't settle for the way things have always been done.

Representing San Diego over the past two years has been the honor of my life and it's a responsibility I don't take lightly. I couldn't be more excited to keep fighting for a future that works for all of us; a future with affordable child care, support for our military families, common sense gun safety laws, lower costs for hardworking San Diegans, and where the right to an abortion is once again the law of the land.
