Hello Team Susana,

I want to say THANK YOU!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to my amazing team of volunteers and campaign staff whose dedication to my campaign brought me to the finish line last night.

Thank you to the dedicated Democratic Country Chairs, our friends in Organized Labor, Democratic Precinct Committee persons and volunteers across all 102 counties who knocked on doors, burned up the phone banks, and never gave up until Democrats across the state attained victory. 

Thank you, and congratulations to my amazing colleagues on the Democratic Statewide Ticket: Governor JB Pritzker, Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton, Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias, Attorney General Kwame Raoul, and Treasurer Michael Frerichs. I am beyond honored to have been a part of such a strong ticket.

Thank you to the voters of Illinois, regardless of their party affilation, who chose to believe in me in 2016, 2018, and who continue to believe in me today. I’m so truly grateful for your support and for believing in me. I promise to keep fighting for you and for a better Illinois for everyone. 
 
For those who didn’t vote for me, know that I will work for you as passionately as I will for my own family. Afterall, Illinois is my heart, and each and everyone of you, regardless of your party preference is in my heart and I love you. I will work hard to change your mind and earn your trust. 

Lastly, I want to say thank you to my loving family, who continuously give me strength and keep me grounded and were able to join me last night on stage. A special heartfelt thank you to the love of my life, my husband David who is the unsung hero behind my success. 

The 2022 Midterm Election was historic. Democrats swept the Illinois statewide ticket and won victories up and down the ballot. But our victories last night as democrats are only the beginning. We cannot get complacent. We need to continue to stand up for the middle class, for women’s rights, for healthcare, for immigrants, stellar educational systems, and for the American Dream. We are only just getting started. 

Thanks again for trusting me with another term as your Comptroller.
