Friend,

Last night, Democrats achieved one of the best midterms for the sitting president's party in recent memory, and voters made it clear they want leaders who will take bold action on climate and clean energy. Voters in swing states elected Democrat governors who leaned in on climate action on the campaign trail, and key races across the country proved what we already know about the Inflation Reduction Act—it is incredibly popular. As we wait to see what happens with Congress, I'm excited to talk with climate champion Bill McKibben and some of our friends tomorrow about what comes next for the climate movement.

Subject: 📆 What's next for climate action? Bill McKibben and Evergreen discus

Friend,

I'm thrilled to announce that this Thursday, I'll be hosting a conversation with climate champions Bill McKibben, Donnel Baird, and Dr. Leah Stokes about midterm election results and what comes next for our movement.

Save the date and join us virtually Thursday, November 10th at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET for "What's Next for Climate: A Post-Election Discussion with Bill McKibben, Donnel Baird, and Dr. Leah Stokes."

Nothing about these midterms is certain, but we do know one thing for sure: No matter the result, the climate crisis is here. Our movement must keep advocating for equitable solutions that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and build a thriving future.

That's why this conversation, two days after the midterms, is so important.

We'll discuss what the results of the election mean for climate action in the U.S., and outline the key pathways for impact for the climate movement between now and 2024 (including state-based action, executive action by the Biden administration, and ways to ensure that the funds in the Inflation Reduction Act are well spent).

Add this event to your calendar right now for Thursday, November 10th at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET, and we'll be in touch with a link next week.

Looking forward to seeing you then.

Onward,

Jamal Raad
Executive Direction, Evergreen Action

P.S. Looking for a link to the event? We'll share it with you next week, but save the date now so you don't miss this conversation!
