Friends,
Though things didn’t go our way last night, I am incredibly proud of the work we did and the grassroots campaign that we built together. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a part of this movement.
I ran for Senate because I believe in the power of ordinary people to make a difference, because I know there’s more that unites us than divides us, because extremism, divisiveness, and political games only distract us from the real work of making things better for Oklahomans and our nation. This divisiveness in our politics will only continue to drive us further apart if we don’t stand up and say “enough is enough”. That’s what we are doing. Together we are building bridges and crafting solutions to the real challenges that face us.
The truth is change isn’t easy and doesn’t happen overnight, but we ARE making a difference. None of this would be possible without your support.
We must begin healing the divisions in our nation, and I remain dedicated to this important task. Together we can make a difference. Together we can lead Oklahoma and the country back to a government founded on principles not parties. Though the work may look different than we had hoped, we cannot give up - there’s too much at stake.
Thank you again for all of your help and support. It is only with your dedication and effort that we built a truly astounding grassroots campaign across Oklahoma. We have much more to do, but for now we take a deep breath to reset, then continue working hard for what is right and showing up for each other.
We didn’t get here overnight, and we won’t get out of here overnight. The hard truth is a silver bullet or hashtag will not solve the deep-seated issues facing our country.
With deep gratitude and determination,
Kendra
