Friend,

For years, national and state media have frantically pushed the narrative that Democrats are losing the Hispanic vote in South Texas. Republicans have capitalized on that narrative -- at the state level, they’ve redrawn district lines to pick the voters they want, and D.C. Republicans have flooded our region with tens of millions of dollars in dark money, along with an unending stream of misinformation.

But their shady games didn’t work, Friend. We’re excited to see Congressmen Cuellar and Gonzalez return to Congress to continue fighting for South Texas families, working for their fellow Latino Texans, and bringing in much-needed federal resources to the Rio Grande Valley.

And we’re proud of the hard-fought campaign Michelle Vallejo ran in TX-15. Not only did she give a voice to the hard-working Latino families of the Rio Grande Valley, she also forced D.C. Republicans to spend millions of dollars on a district they literally drew to be able to win.

Friend, the only way Republicans can win a district in a predominately Hispanic region is by drawing Hispanic voters out of the district, and they couldn’t even pull that off without flooding the area with tens of millions of dollars in dark money.

Holding the Valley didn’t happen overnight, Friend. It’s taken months of analyzing data, meeting with and hearing from grassroots community leaders, knocking on thousands of doors, and making countless calls and texts.

We know we have much more work to do! The only way we’ve accomplished what we have has been with the generous support of people like you, and I’ll be honored to have you with us in the fight going forward. Sign the pledge now to show you’re committed to holding back extremist Texas Republicans: [link removed]

There was no red wave in South Texas, Friend. There wasn’t even a red ripple. Republicans in Austin and D.C. should understand that if -- even in a year where Republicans were supposed to win across the country in a landslide -- they could barely eke out this one win here, they should probably pack up their bags and get the hell out of our region.

Adelante,
