FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Jessica Proud | [email protected] Statement from NYGOP Chairman and Congressman-Elect Nick Langworthy on Last Night’s Election Results November 9, 2022 “I want to offer my heartfelt gratitude to Lee Zeldin for a herculean effort that reenergized and reinvigorated our Party and instilled hope in nearly 2.7 million voters that they would finally have a voice in the direction of our state. Lee built a coalition of voters, the likes of which we have not seen in a generation, who want safe streets, economic freedom, and a voice in their kids’ education. That does not change with the election results and Kathy Hochul and the Democrats in charge would be wise to get out of their liberal bubbles and start working to create a state government that represents all 19 million residents. “I’m enormously proud of the race Lee and our entire Republican ticket ran. While we came up short, this was the first time in 20 years we had a competitive statewide election, and that is no easy feat in dark-blue New York against a sitting governor who spent $50 million in special interest money to keep her seat. “There is no question that Lee’s strong performance at the top of our ticket helped propel many other candidates to victory. While we are still awaiting final outcomes in several legislative races, we have grown our Republican ranks in both houses. “As I have said throughout the past year, the road to retaking the House Majority and firing Nancy Pelosi runs straight through New York. From our efforts to recruit top-notch candidates to our monumental success in stopping the Hochulmander, we not only re-elected all our incumbents but flipped four House seats from blue to red and have grown our Republican conference to the largest delegation in decades. This delegation will be on the front lines of getting our nation back on track, and I’m proud to be joining the ranks alongside these incredible public servants.” ### New York Republican State Committee | 315 State Street, Albany, NY 12210 Unsubscribe [email protected] Update Profile | Constant Contact Data Notice Sent by [email protected] powered by Try email marketing for free today!
