The midterms are over. But our work together cannot slow down--because the far Left has a radical wish list to accomplish in the next two months as national attention turns away from Congress to family and the holidays.
While some races have yet to be called as results continue to be counted, we have an emerging picture of what the political landscape will be like for the next two years.
At this moment, results indicate the balance of power in Congress remains divided. We know the far Left will use this opportunity to continue pushing their radical agenda, so we must remain engaged and vigilant--including for lawmakers who may be tempted to cave on matters of faith, family, and freedom especially through the end of the year.
This last gasp of an outgoing, soon-to-be-replaced Congress has been termed a "lame-duck session." It will potentially run from November 14 to January 3, 2023.
Three of the most dangerous and egregious bills ever introduced in Congress--the Equality Act, the Respect for Marriage Act, and the Women's Health Protection Act--have already passed the House and are poised to receive Senate votes during this lame-duck session.

For leftists to prioritize enacting these proposed laws during the holidays is shameless. Here is a brief overview of the three major policies they are seeking to vote on and pass.
The Equality Act would massively overhaul our federal civil rights framework in order to mandate special privileges for sexual orientation and gender identity. It would also jeopardize women's privacy and safety, expand abortion access, and erode religious freedom and parental rights.
Secondly, the bill that I call the (Dis)Respect for Marriage Act would codify the Supreme Court's 2015 Obergefell same-sex marriage decision, which has led to devastating attacks and legal challenges to religious freedom.
Due to that Supreme Court decision, countless people in the wedding industry have been forced to choose between violating their religious consciences or losing their businesses. It's also happened to Christian adoption agencies who believe in only placing children with married mothers and fathers.
Lastly, the Women's Health Protection Act, which should really be called the Abortion On Demand Through Birth Act, is another major leftist priority.
It would eliminate more than 1,300 pro-life laws enacted by state legislatures, including policies that require parental consent and raise safety and cleanliness standards in abortion facilities. Such commonsense laws passed by close-to-home legislators would be wiped out.
