Democracy won last night, and each of you, The Union’s 62,000+ strong corps of volunteers, helped deliver that victory. Up and down the ballot and across the country we helped defeat election denying Trump extremists. Thank you.

Here are Rick Wilson’s ([link removed]) and Reed Galen’s ([link removed]) tweets about your great work. And in case you missed it, Joe Trippi had some pretty inspiring words about us ([link removed]) leading up to election day.

Right now though, we have an urgent need to get as many people as possible working on ballot curing in Arizona and Nevada to be sure every vote gets counted. Every single one. Check the Action Center ([link removed]) on how to get involved and watch for email alerts.

Voters heard our pro-democracy message. They defied the polls and the history of midterm elections to defeat the predicted wave of Republican wins. A handful of races still remain too close to call. Thanks to us, voters gave a resounding no to Donald Trump and his cult of election-denying extremists.

We do not yet know which party will control Congress next year, but there was certainly no red-wave mandate. And there is a possibility that Democrats will retain control. It’s going to take a few days to sort all that out.

But with the repudiation voters delivered to them last night, the extremists in the Republican Party will now drag “crazy” into an endless self-destructive fight that’ll play out well into the presidential primaries. We say, go for it. Our advice? Candidate quality matters.

While they do crazy, we’ll keep doing the work.

After Arizona and Nevada, we’ll pivot to the expected run-off election in four weeks for the U.S. Senate seat in Georgia. We’ll send alerts on how to get involved in that campaign.

And after all that, we’ll turn our focus to local races for school boards, county offices, and others that hold tremendous opportunities for us to support pro-democracy candidates on the frontlines of the continuing fight to defend democracy from Trump’s authoritarian cult.
