Votes are being counted now! No images? Click here John, Early results show that the environmental majorities will return and expand in the state legislature! The voters have spoken, and they are clearly on board for bold environmental action. In Washington State, we count every vote. As you read this, election officials are hard at work continuing to count ballots to determine the outcome of the election. Our election officials can be trusted to do this job fairly and accurately. As we wait for the results to be official it’s critical that we share our trust in the vote counting system. We created a helpful Voting Process FAQ in case you have any questions about the voting process or elections. Thank you for participating in our democracy. Whether you voted or helped persuade a person to vote, you made a difference. Together, we contacted 75,000 eligible Washington voters. Check here to find the latest results, which are updated about 4pm each day until all eligible votes are tallied. With the likely loss of a pro-environment majority in the US House of Representatives, it is up to us in the States to push forward the environmental justice policies we need to make an Evergreen Future a reality. In the coming days and weeks we’ll have actions you can take to participate, like helping cure ballots and preparing for advocacy during the legislative session. Thank you for being a part of the movement. Onward, Lennon Bronsema (he/him) |
