And while we are still waiting to see the outcomes of congressional races across the country, Democratic members in the House and Democratic candidates across the country outperformed expectations, and we have seen some inspiring, meaningful victories. And here at home, we are seeing our work result in victories in Harris County and Fort Bend County. Every single race and every single victory matters.
Over the last two years of this election cycle, we’ve seen so many reminders of how much elections matter. How much leadership matters. And how much you matter. Yesterday, we also saw what we can accomplish when we work together. And we have a lot of work ahead.
Since 2018, our campaign has been about building a coalition of people from across our diverse and dynamic district who want to ensure that our community’s core values — inclusion, innovation, and collaboration — result in progress, equality, and opportunity for all Americans. Together, we have done essential work for our community and our country. I am so proud of what we have accomplished together.
