John, I am saddened to report that our campaign came up short for the Florida Senate- District 18. While these aren’t the results we would’ve hoped for, I am proud of the race we ran.

I would like to thank everyone, especially YOU, John, for supporting my campaign and putting your trust in my candidacy. I want to thank my family, campaign team, the organizations, elected officials, and community leaders who’ve endorsed my campaign.

And, John, our work is not done yet. We fought hard and spoke to thousands of people across Pinellas county to share our vision of a better future for everyone.

For 17 months, we’ve had a people-centered campaign that focused on listening to the people of Pinellas County and providing leadership in times of great need because this has always been about moving this community that I was born and raised in forward.

Tomorrow, our work continues to advocate for more affordable costs of property insurance and rent, protecting a woman’s right to choose, and keeping our communities and kids safe from gun violence.

Thank you for all of your support. I am so grateful and look forward to building upon our work together.

With all my gratitude,

Eunic Ortiz
