Friend,
Yesterday’s midterm elections offered some unexpectedly nuanced results, and we’re still waiting for final tallies in several key races. In five state referendums we saw voters affirm their support for abortion access, so where does that leave the broader abortion-rights movement? Did voters reject Christian nationalism? What role did Generation Z voters play? What does it all mean for religious freedom and church-state separation?
We’ll be answering these questions and more next Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 7:30 p.m. ET during our free post-election webinar! Join me and other Americans United experts as we break down the results of the midterm elections and analyze their impact on all of the issues we care about.
LGBTQ+ equality, reproductive rights, protecting public schools and more were on the ballot in races across the country. Joining me to discuss how these issues fared will be Andrew Seidel, AU’s VP of Strategic Communications; Maggie Garrett, VP of Public Policy; and Brian Silva, VP of Outreach and Engagement.
This free webinar is a kickoff for our upcoming Summit for Religious Freedom (SRF), April 22-24, 2023, in Washington, D.C., or virtually. Part of what makes SRF different is the continuous programming that accompanies it, including free webinars. In the future, these webinars will be available only to SRF registrants, but to celebrate our inaugural year, we’re inviting everyone to join us! These webinars are a great example of some of the outstanding programming you can experience at SRF.
I hope you’ll join me for our webinar on Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. ET to hear our analysis of the midterm election results, and to learn about our plan to continue to fight for freedom without favor and equality without exception. We’ll answer your questions and give you all the information you need to help all of us recommit to the separation of church and state!
With hope and determination,
Rachel K. Laser
