John, we wanted to send an update now that ballots have begun being counted here in Orange County. We do not yet know who won here in CA-47.
Here’s what we do know:
- We ended the night with 50.3% of the vote. All of the in-person votes were counted last night, and now the remaining mail in ballots will be processed.
- 55% of ballots have been counted.
- We will receive an updated vote count every night at 5:00 PM from here on out.
In 2018, it took eleven days for Katie to be declared the winner. Every voter deserves to have their vote counted, and we’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
Nobody wins alone, and we can’t thank you enough for all of your support this election cycle. Our campaign’s greatest strength is our grassroots support, and Katie is so thankful for everyone who attended an event, donated, or volunteered.
