John, last night with incredible victories across the country,
the voters have spoken.
This election was known as a “referendum on MAGA” and we, as a nation,
rejected it.
There are those on the ballot last night that swore allegiance to a figure
of a party and not to the American people, and we recognized that.
The harm that has been inflicted on our country cannot and HAS NOT been
overlooked by the voters. The madness, the disinformation, and the hate –
we decided that those are NOT American values.
As results will continue to come in, we expect that some key races may
determine the leverage that Democrats have in the Senate. It could all
come down to ONE race, a likely runoff in Georgia.
But just like in 2020, we can and will REJECT the influence of
MAGA-Republicans and the stranglehold that Donald Trump has on American
democracy will dissolve in the pages of our history.
It was suggested that Trump may have been gearing up for his 2024
Presidential announcement – but now, he should be ASHAMED and EMBARRASSED
to announce so soon after these crushing defeats.
And we have the turnout for Democracy to thank for that. Voters
participated in record-breaking numbers this year, and they are all a part
of the cornerstone of our nation.
Our votes are sacred, millions have died for them, and we let them be
heard loud and clear.
The rejection and downfall of MAGA begins and ends with us. As long as we
are actively participating, voting, organizing, and working, then we will
be able to clean up this mess for good.
There is still more work to do, but we can celebrate the work we have put
in and the great impact that our voices have on our nation.
It's a tough fight, y’all, but we’ve made some very important gains. Keep
moving forward and if you're with us and you're able: chip in to keep
supporting this work.
