National Endowment for the Humanities: Sustaining Cultural Heritage Collections Grant ProgramThis program helps cultural institutions meet the complex challenge of preserving large and diverse holdings of humanities materials for future generations by supporting sustainable conservation measures that mitigate deterioration, prolong the useful life of collections, and strengthen institutional resilience.Libraries, archives, museums, and historical organizations are encouraged to apply. Eligible expenses include:Replacing outdated HVAC systemsUpgrade lighting for energy efficiency and increases preservationDevelop a preservation or sustainability planApplications are due by January 12, 2023. Apply Here!Rural Communities Opioid Response Program - Overdose Response (RCORP)This program provides funds to support immediate responses to the overdose crisis in rural areas. Over the course of a one-year period of performance, RCORP recipients will address immediate needs in rural areas through improving access to, capacity for, and sustainability of prevention, treatment, and recovery services for substance use disorder (SUD).Applications are due by January 19, 2023. Featured Grant AwardTonko Heralds $412.5 Million for New York to Help Families with Heating Costs this WinterLast week, New York State was awarded $412.5 million in funding from the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). This funding will help low-income individuals and families in the Capital Region and across New York pay for home heating costs this winter as well as cover unpaid utility bills. [email protected] Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) ProgramsOn August 19, Governor Kathy Hochul announced New York State has been awarded $501.5 million in federal funding through the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI), a program through the American Rescue Plan Act. SSBCI provides funds to support programs for small businesses, with a focus on recovery from the economic effects of COVID-19 and allowing traditionally disadvantaged small businesses the opportunity to succeed in the post-pandemic economy. A few of the programs supported by this funding are:Capital Project Loan FundNew York State Innovation Venture Capital FundPre-seed and Seed Matching Fund ProgramNew York Small Business Development Center (NYSBDC)The NYSBDC provides small business owners and entrepreneurs in New York with the highest quality, confidential business counseling, training, and business research at no cost.The Albany Small Business Development Center serves small businesses in the Capital Region.
