Hey there,

Los Angeles showed up to the polls yesterday in force, but the votes are still being counted.

We may not know the final election results for a few days, but we do know what Angelenos want.

I heard voters loud and clear over the last 400+ days of this people-powered campaign: Angelenos want to house people — immediately — and solve the root issues of L.A.’s homelessness crisis. They want their neighborhoods to be safer and more affordable. People want an economy that works for everyone — where more communities can reap the benefits of one of the biggest economies in the world.

As we wait for the results, I want to assure you that I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work. But first, we must ensure that every vote is counted.

It's the honor of my life that so many Angelenos put their faith in me and our campaign. To everyone who worked, volunteered, donated, and voted — thank you.

Together, we’re going to build a brighter future for L.A.
