Hi John,

We’re entering the season of giving! Now through the end of the year is when many nonprofits see the largest amount of donations, helping sustain their work throughout the coming year. We know there are many worthy causes and we’re thrilled that you are interested in Reproaction’s work and supporting our mission to increase access to abortion and advance reproductive justice everywhere.

If you feel like getting a jumpstart on your end-of-year giving, please consider a gift today.

It’s Time to Take Action for Over-the-Counter Birth Control

As members of the Free the Pill Coalition, we are not only advocating for the approval of over-the-counter birth control pills, but also for equitable access to ensure this vital medication is affordable, covered by insurance, has no age restriction, and is readily available on the shelf at pharmacies and stores across the country.

Though we are disappointed the FDA has pushed back crucial hearings on the first ever application to make a birth control option available over-the-counter in the United States, we are ready to keep fighting.

Check out some ways you can help here.

Self-Care

Self-care is an intentional practice that roots us in the present despite the oppression we may face. Regular self-care is essential for sustainable and effective activism.

Here are our self-care tips for November:

1.     Slow down. The end-of-year hustle and bustle presents many opportunities to kick the can down the line for practicing self-care and being intentional with your time. Try to slow down with yourself, with loved ones, and with nature before the harsher weather and busier days ahead. You'll never regret taking time for intentional rest and intentional community. - Shireen, deputy director

2.     Get outside during your work day! Looking at your screen for hours at a time can be draining, both mentally and physically. Try to get a 30-minute walk to break up your work day and get some sun. Fall is upon us – immerse yourself in the (hopefully) colorful leaves and cooling weather. – Audrey, campaign coordinator

3.     Stay hydrated! Don’t forget to be drinking lots of water throughout the day to keep your body fueled. Remember that coffee doesn’t replace water! I like to follow the three-beverage rule at my desk: one drink for caffeine, one drink for hydration, and one drink for fun! – Anvita, campaign coordinator

See you next month!

In Solidarity,

Erin, Shireen, Anvita, Audrey, Elizabeth, Evonnia, Jacqueline, Jessica, Kara, Nataley, Tenaja, Kate and the Reproaction team

P.S. Every donation counts! Give today.
