John,
We’re still waiting for the dust to settle from the midterm elections, but so far, we’ve seen HUGE wins for SEEC candidates.
Here’s a recap from last night:
As it stands currently, 58 of the 73 SEEC Members who ran this year are returning to Congress. SEEC has not lost a SINGLE seat thus far! Our remaining 15 candidates are looking quite strong, too.
PLUS, 11 SEEC-endorsed candidates have won, including Emilia Sykes (OH-13), Greg Landsman (OH-1), and Wiley Nickel (NC-13)!! All three of these races were considered underdogs in this year’s midterms, but SEEC PAC recognized their potential and got involved.
These are all incredible results! And this is all thanks to you, John. Your support for these climate champions really made all the difference.
But these midterms are far from over. We’re still watching for critical seats to be called – like Kim Schrier (WA-8) and Katie Porter (CA-47) – to know where things stand in the battle for control of Congress.
Thanks to your help in 2020, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 117th Congress while we undo the damage of the Trump Administration.
