Dear DRA Supporters,
I’m pleased to announce the launch of DRA’s next President & CEO Search!
As you will read in this job announcement, DRA is seeking an accomplished leader, with substantive disability rights and/or legal services experience, to guide our incredible community of staff, clients, partners, board members, advisors, and donors through the next chapter—as we strive to fulfill our vision of a world free from discrimination, where people with disabilities are valued members of their communities with equal access to opportunity.
DRA is well-poised for our next leader. We are extremely grateful to former President & CEO Kathy Martinez for her work to develop a clear vision, mission, brand, and strategic plan that lay an important foundation for our next leader to build upon. We are also deeply grateful to Rebecca Williford, our Deputy Director of Litigation and Acting President & CEO for so adeptly steering DRA’s ship following Kathy’s departure.
Identifying the right permanent leader for DRA is our Board of Directors' number one priority and I’m asking each of you to help in this important process.
Please share this job announcement with qualified candidates. And yes—we’re absolutely encouraging internal candidates to apply.
Interested candidates should send their resume and cover letter to [email protected] or call 1 202 544 4749.
Thanks in advance for your help. I look forward to welcoming DRA’s permanent President & CEO with you all very soon.
Sincerely,
Allison May
Board Chair, Disability Rights Advocates
