We finally made it, John. Polls are officially closed, wrapping up one of the most historic midterm elections in a generation.
While we haven't crossed the finish line quite yet — counting the ballots will take a while and the race is still too close to call — you should take solace in the fact that your effort, energy, and determination has already made a profound difference.
When the winner is announced, and we officially flip CA-27 Blue, it will be because of you and the hope and hard work you poured into it.
As votes are tallied, initial results confirm what we always anticipated — this race is going to be one of the closest in the country. The thousands of doors you knocked, the tens of thousands of phone calls you made, the millions in grassroots money we raised is literally paying off right now. And we didn't need a dime of corporate special interest money to get it done.
