Wow! What a night! I cannot thank you enough for placing your trust in me to go to Washington, D.C., and to represent each of the 766,987 citizens who live within the 17 counties in East Texas that comprise Congressional District 1. It's been a long journey since I grew up in that little mobile home on a Bible College campus outside Whitehouse, Texas. And now, it will be my honor to serve and represent so many friends, family, and neighbors- past, present, and future- in the United States Congress. It is genuinely humbling.
Kyna, our family, and I look forward to standing firm for your family. But, there is a tough and long fight ahead, and last night was just the beginning. Stand with us. Let freedom ring!
