It’s official! The Associated Press has called our race, and the people of Colorado have spoken. It is the honor of my life to continue serving as Colorado’s Governor for another four years.
First, John, I want to say thank you. We wouldn’t have won once, let alone twice, without incredible grassroots supporters like you.
No matter how you contributed to this movement — whether you knocked on doors, donated a few dollars, shared your ideas at a campaign event, or encouraged your friends and family to vote — I will always be grateful for you, John.
For Lt. Gov. Primavera and me, the mission has always been a simple one: Do what’s right for Colorado. Deliver real progress that improves people’s lives.
Tonight, I’m thinking about Coloradans like Karissa from Commerce City, who can finally stop rationing her life-saving medicine because of the historic cap we passed on the cost of insulin.
I’m thinking about Julie and Aaron, who are saving thousands thanks to free full-day Kindergarten.
I’m thinking about Giles, a small business owner, who was able to weather the pandemic because of tax cuts and support for small businesses we provided.
Here in Colorado, we’ve shown what kind of progress is possible when we are practical and data-driven. And we’ve proven that saving people money and protecting their freedoms is a great way to bring people together.
I believe to my core that Colorado’s best days are still ahead. Though there are real challenges in front of us, I know we will come together to face them, and I can’t wait to get right back to work.
