Look who I ran into on the campaign trail, friends! Two of my favorite people — Commissioner Shenise Turner-Sloss and Angelina Jackson!

I was in Dayton, Ohio today knocking on doors and turning out the vote — and I got the chance to meet up with these two awesome Barrier To Entry candidates.

Shenise Turner-Sloss (left in the above photo) crushed an entrenched, endorsed slate of bad Democrats in 2021 and was elected as Dayton City Commissioner. Earlier this year, B/E was proud to fight alongside her as she won her historic election!

And Angelina Jackson (right in the above photo and pictured with me below) is running for Judge of Common Pleas in Montgomery County, Ohio — a critical area to protect abortion access. When elected, she will be the only Black woman sitting on a bench that is 90% white and will preside over abortion-related crimes in the same area where the Kettering Clinic provides essential care to the region — the same clinic where the 10 year old was turned away. (Yes, that clinic.)
