Hi John,
For many of us, the new year is an invitation to reflect on the past year and set intentions for the year ahead.
Today, we’re reflecting on a year full of both progress and tragedy. We celebrated so many milestone successes in 2019—passing a record number of gun safety bills, electing gun responsibility champions, forming new chapter teams, and more.
But we also mourned too many senseless acts of gun violence. From El Paso and Dayton over the summer to Jersey City and Pensacola just a few weeks ago. These tragedies remind us of how much we have left to do to keep our communities safe from gun violence.
Will you join us in making a gun violence prevention resolution for 2020? Sign the pledge to commit to fighting to end preventable gun violence this year:

We have made tremendous progress in the fight against gun violence. But our opponents are working harder than ever to fight that progress and undo everything we’ve accomplished. So it’s going to take each and every one of us doubling down on our commitment to gun responsibility. Please join us.
Thanks for standing by our side.
Onward,
Renée
