I wanted to reach out personally.
Hi John, it's Errol, Cori's dad. Before polls close, I wanted to reach out personally.
I couldn't be more proud of Cori. Throughout her first term in Congress, she has prioritized her constituents at every step and delivered real change to transform our politics for the people of St. Louis into one that leads with love.
We have the opportunity to re-elect the first Black Congresswoman to represent Missouri and send a loud and clear message to the country that our people-powered movement is here to stay.
If you agree with me that we need my daughter fighting for us in Congress, will you chip in $5 or anything meaningful to you to make sure Cori has the grassroots resources to win re-election and keep growing this movement for bold, progressive change?
Chip in $5
As a child, Cori always swore up and down that politics wasn't for someone like her. Growing up, she saw the hatred and the nastiness that could come out of politics. As she watched me work long hours as a public servant, she wondered why anyone would ever sign up for that.
But during that time, and through her own activism, she also saw the positive impact a person can have on their community when they lead with a love for humanity in their hearts. And when her community called on her to serve, she decided to run FOR the people. Not for personal pride or attention. But because she knew St. Louis deserved a leader who looks out for us — not corporations or special interests.
Her road here and approach sets her apart from career politicians, because she’s not a politician; she’s Cori — a nurse, politivist, mother, sister, and my daughter who shares our lived experiences. Whether she’s leading a five-day action on the Capitol steps to call for an extended eviction moratorium or traveling across Missouri rallying for reproductive freedom, Cori never gives up when people's lives and livelihoods are at stake — even when it’s uncomfortable or hard.
Cori is a key leader for our progressive movement, and I know that there’s so much more she’s ready to tackle. So before the polls close, I'm asking:
Will you chip in $5 or anything you can right now to support Cori and this people-powered campaign? Together, let's re-elect the first activist from the movement in defense of Black lives elected to Congress.
Thank you for all of your support.
