Happy Election Day, John!!
It all comes down to today and how many voters turnout before polls close tonight.
If you haven’t already, please go VOTE and make sure your friends and family do too.
Thank you for everything you have done over the last year to expand our democracy and power progressive victories up and down the ballot. I really do believe we will have big wins tonight because of all the hard work people like you have put into this election.
Thank you so much for being a DFA member and supporting our work. Grassroots members like you truly make a difference in the support we are able to provide to candidates around the country.
We want to highlight a few of the ways your support has made a difference in these last few months.
You powered DFA’s Mail Our Way to the Midterms project, which sent over 200,000 postcards to key voters across Texas, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, and North Carolina, all with the goal of building out our work to Flip the South!
Our amazing volunteers then followed up with get-out-the-vote texts as well, increasing the chance that these voters will turn out today even more by making two contacts with them and giving them all of the information they need to cast their ballot.
Sending this many postcards and texts takes countless hours from DFA staff and volunteers and a lot of resources -- I mean, a lot. I can’t even begin to tell you all of the work that went on behind the scenes without making this email wayyy too long.
Right now, we have staff on the ground in key states supporting candidates you know and love like Stacey Abrams in Georgia, Rashida Tlaib in Michigan, and Cheri Beasley in North Carolina. Not to mention the numerous down-ballot and statewide candidates we are canvassing for and providing last-minute needs to.
Traveling all over the country to provide on the ground support like this wouldn’t be possible if we didn’t have the backing of a huge network of grassroots supporters like you.
We know that real change is never about one person. It's never about one election. It's about us, coming together, and working as a movement to make it happen.
Every postcard we sent, every endorsement we made, every campaign staffer we trained, every voter we contacted, and every single candidate we will put over the top today is because of your support.
As a community of progressives, we work to engage, inspire, learn and teach each other.
From defending progressives in hard-fought districts across the country to supporting a new generation of young progressive candidates up and down the ballot, our work to win elections is all made possible because of you.
