Everything from education funding to curb cuts to health care is affected by public policies—voting is an important way to have a say in those issues. Voting plays a vital role in making sure our communities’ priorities are acknowledged, but there are many barriers to voting that still affect people with disabilities. Join us tonight at 7pm Eastern time for a conversation with disability advocates doing work to ensure that our community can vote. We’ll cover what barriers exist for our community and others when it comes to voting and the work our panelists are doing locally and nationally to overcome these barriers.
The event will be held live on Zoom, but will also be streamed to YouTube. The event will remain on our YouTube channel after the event.

Don’t forget to mark your calendar and join us next week for our Awards Ceremony! The Awards Ceremony will include remarks by Julia Bascom, and we’ll be honoring several awardees for their tireless work, including several new awards recognizing the variety of work our community engages in. We’re thrilled to be celebrating and honoring our community.
You can still register—and remember, your registration is good for all the events this month! We ask that our gala attendees donate if they are able, but no donation will be required to attend our virtual gala events. Proceeds will support our advocacy work and programs for the coming year, and allow us to continue working to empower disabled people across the country.
You can RSVP to our Facebook event and invite your friends!
We can’t wait to see you tonight!
