Hi there,

Well, folks, tomorrow is the day — Election Day. I set out over a year ago to challenge Scott Fitzgerald, fight for American families, and bring common-sense leadership to Washington D.C. 

Throughout the campaign I’ve had the privilege of meeting and listening to folks all over the district about what they expect of their Congressman, their hopes for the future of our state and country, and their frustrations with current leadership. I wanted to run this campaign like I believe a member of congress should run their office, by actually going to the people, listening to their thoughts and concerns, and then responding. 

Scott Fitzgerald has shown us time and again that the LAST thing he cares about is American families or what their hopes or concerns may be. He will choose his party and the special interests lining his pockets every single time. 

When it comes to addressing the real, kitchen table issues affecting all of us here at home, Scott Fitzgerald is nowhere to be found. We cannot continue to tolerate this behavior — we can replace him by voting Mike Van Someren for Congress at the polls tomorrow. 

Scott Fitzgerald and his party thrive on our division, but we are more alike than we are different. We all want better for our families, and I believe that starts with: 

• Restoring our Democracy 
• Restoring public safety
• Rebuilding the middle class
• Protecting Roe and our right to privacy
• Prioritizing environmental stewardship

I’m running for Congress to fight for the foundation of our country. I’m running because we deserve a representative who will put in the work of listening and helping solve problems faced by our country — not contribute even more to the extreme polarization that’s already paralyzed our government. 

Scott Fitzgerald has been the opposite of all of those things. The 5th Congressional District — and Wisconsin as a whole — deserves better.
