Hi John—Taylor here.

I just did something I’m pretty proud of. It’s been a long time coming so I asked Nancy if I could share. I just got back from voting for the first time.

I’m so pumped up right now. The line at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at UT wasn’t even that bad. And now, I’m sporting my I Voted sticker.

I’ve always been proud to be a Texan, though I’m not proud of our state’s current leadership. I am damn proud to have been part of this election and to have done my part to make sure democracy works in our great state.

This was my first time ever to vote, and it really did feel like my voice matters.

Now, we wait. I keep checking my phone even though I know results won’t be coming in for hours. Our future is hanging in the balance.

That’s why I’m asking everyone reading this to please, rush a $5 donation to Mothers Against Greg Abbott. Their volunteers are working all throughout today, texting and calling all the last-minute voters they can. They need us sending in support until every vote has been counted.
