Former President Donald Trump hinted at his next run for president at a rally last night in Ohio.
Trump is a danger to the future of our country, and he knows the importance of electing attorneys general who will help him spread conspiracy theories and lies, and represents a real threat to overturning future elections. We saw him try to do this in 2020. That’s why he encouraged the crowd to vote for Republican AGs and candidates like Matt DePerno (MI), Ken Paxton (TX), Sigal Chattah (NV), and Abe Hamadeh (AZ). All of these candidates are in states Trump is eyeing to help him in 2024.
Dem AGs provided the biggest check to Trump’s unlawful administration during his presidency and they are the best way to defend against Trump’s dangerous rhetoric. By electing Dem AGs, we can provide a buffer against right-wing radicals who want to restrict reproductive rights, tear down democracy, and turn back the clock on progress.
