[1]Cori Bush
John,
This morning, the air feels abuzz with possibility. Election Day is
finally here, and as millions head to the polls, I’m reflecting on why I’m
eager to continue the work we’ve started.
To put it plainly: I do this work to save lives, so that regular, everyday
people in St. Louis and across the country can stop merely trying to
survive, and can truly start to thrive.
I know what it’s like living paycheck to paycheck, struggling to survive
through cold nights in my car with my kids. I have been brutalized by
violence handed down by the police, hospitalized without insurance, sought
out and received abortion care, and been the target of right-wing vitriol
and disinformation.
So many of the most pressing issues our country faces today, I, alongside
millions of other Americans, have experienced — and that representation
matters in Congress.
We need a champion for policies that prioritize the needs of the people –
and who is relentless in the work to deliver change we can actually feel.
It is my honor to champion that work on behalf of our community, and
today, I ask for your support.
Whether you’re in my district or elsewhere, please go cast your vote.

has the resources for last-minute voter outreach before the polls close.

Let me be clear, the immediate future of legislation on our reproductive
freedoms, voting rights, workers' rights, environmental justice, and more
is on the ballot. Across the country, critical House and Senate elections
will determine control of Congress. In races up and down the ballot, these
elections will decide the future of our democracy and our fight forward
for a system that is rooted in true equity, freedom, and justice for all
people.
Today, we have the opportunity to display the true power of the people by
sending a decisive message that our movement for racial, economic, and
environmental justice is undeterred and here to stay.
In St. Louis, Alderwoman Megan Green is on the ballot for President of the
Board of Aldermen to help build a city that works for everyone. In
Pennsylvania, people have the opportunity to vote for a true fighter in
their Democratic nominee, Summer Lee. In Tennessee, Odessa Kelly is
running to improve the lives of the everyday people of her community. In
Minnesota, Keith Ellison is working to build a system that is rooted in
true justice and safety for everyday people.
We must amplify the voices of our movement and today we have that
opportunity. [ [link removed] ]Please, John,
make sure your vote is counted today. Then chip in to make sure we can get
out the vote in St. Louis.
Thankful for you.
Your Congresswoman loves you,
Cori
