Election Day is TODAY! Have you turned in your ballot yet? Don’t forget to take advantage of the opportunity to vote for housing!
|
Here are some last minute things to remember on Election Day:
|
- If you’re not registered to vote, several states offer same-day voter registration. If you’re not sure whether you’re registered, double-check online before heading to the polls.
- If the poll worker at your voting location cannot find your name on their list, you can still request a provisional ballot.
- Polls across the country close between 6 pm and 8 pm local time, so you still have plenty of time to vote today (find out when polls close in your state). If you’re in line at the time the polls close, you’re still allowed to vote!
- Voting locations are required to be accessible to voters with disabilities. You can have a chair to sit in, or accessibility devices for those with visual impairments or mobility disabilities.
- Voter intimidation is illegal. Examples include blocking the entrance of a polling place, asking about citizenship or race, and threats of violence. If you see or experience voter intimidation, report it to your local election officials and the Election Protection Hotline at 1-866-OUR-VOTE or 1-888-VE-Y-VOTA (en Español).
