Good morning, John. It’s Yadira, and the first thing I wanted to do today was say thank you. From canvassing, to voting, to donating, it has been incredibly humbling and inspiring to see all the work this team has done to help my campaign. I am deeply honored to have your support. No matter what happens today, being your Democratic nominee for CO-08 has been the honor of a lifetime.

I meant it when I said this race was personal for me. I’m running for Congress because my community deserves better, and I want to bring positive change to the place I am lucky to call my home. I have experienced firsthand what happens when politicians make bad decisions, and I decided to run for Congress because it’s time for us to work together to get things done for Colorado families.
If we win, there is so much we will be able to accomplish – in Congress, I will fight to lower health care costs, address the high cost of living, and protect a woman’s right to choose. And, if we win, it will mean that Colorado will be sending its first Latina to Congress.
