First, let me say thank you for all you've done to support my very close race for re-election to this congressional seat in PA-07. We are literally spending down to the very last dollar to make sure we’re running a strong campaign all the way through to the finish line – that means keeping our commercials on the air, making sure every Pennsylvanian has a plan to vote, and more.

I’ll explain more in a moment, but first, will you chip in your first $10 to show you have my back in today's critical election?

With so little time left before Election Day, you may be wondering why we’re still fundraising at all. Here’s why: I made a conscious decision that my tremendous campaign staff was not going to be left unemployed the day after the election – and I have promised all of them that they will stay on the payroll through the end of the calendar year. Besides, I will still need them for all the post-election work that has to be done to comply with federal election laws! But in order to spend down to the last dollar that we have already raised (thanks to your generosity), we have to make sure that we have a post-election buffer to cover payroll and miscellaneous expenses.

I made a pledge to you that we would never waste your money, and we have run a lean campaign machine that lives up to that pledge. But my campaign staff are hard-working, enthusiastic, mostly young folks, and they deserve to know they are going to be paid.
