Today not only marks the start of a new decade, but it also marks DAV’s centennial anniversary of 100 years of service to veterans and their families — 100 years of service that were only possible because of people like you.
DAV was founded after Robert S. Marx returned home from WWI to a country unprepared to deal with hundreds of thousands of injured veterans. And while much has changed throughout the past century, one thing has never wavered — DAV’s commitment to our nation’s ill and injured veterans.
Whether you are a patriotic citizen dedicated to ensuring our veterans are taken care of, a family member of a beloved veteran who truly understands the depths of their sacrifices, or a veteran or active-duty servicemember yourself who’s standing by your fellow men and women in uniform, YOU are the foundation that has built DAV into the incredible organization it is today.
YOU are helping more than 1 million veterans each year. And I know with people like you by our side, we will continue to be a powerful force for veterans and their families for the next 100 years.
