Dear Friend,

The core of any strong democracy is civic participation. In order to make your voice heard and make an impact on your local community, our state, and our country, don’t forget to go out and vote today! To help you navigate Election Day, I have compiled some of the most important resources below.

Tuesday, November 8 – Helpful Tips

  • Nearby polling locations can be found on the New Mexico Secretary of State Voter Services website.
  • Polls open at 7:00 a.m and close at 7:00 p.m. To avoid any long lines, try going earlier than later, but don’t worry as long as you’re in line before 7:00 p.m.
  • You do NOT need a photo ID to vote in New Mexico if you are registered to vote. However, if you are a first-time voter that registered by mail and did not include identification with their voter registration application form, you may need to bring additional identification. For more information, visit the NM Secretary of State website.
  • Same-Day Voter Registration is available at all polling locations on Election Day. For a list of necessary items to bring for Same-Day Voter Registration, visit the New Mexico Secretary of State website.
  • If you have any other questions regarding the election or voter registration, call the New Mexico Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver’s office at (505)-827-3600.

Voting is the backbone of our nation and our civic responsibility as citizens. Midterm elections often have much lower voter turnout than Presidential elections, but they are just as important. So, make sure to go out and vote today!

By participating in this survey you are also subscribing to Congresswoman Stansbury's e-newsletter.

What voting method did you choose this election?

Sincerely,

Melanie
