Dear John,

Today’s the big day! It’s hard to believe that Election Day is here after so many months of anticipation. My staff and I have been hard at work all year to make sure we come out victorious when the polls close.

HOW TO VOTE [[link removed]]

However, this morning I found myself thinking about what Election Day means to us as a nation. Free and fair elections are the bedrock of our democracy. So many of our ancestors have fought tooth and nail so that all Americans can cast their votes and make their voices heard.

That’s why it’s so concerning that Republicans across the country are trying to infringe on our voting rights and election integrity. Right here in Georgia, Gov. Brian Kemp has passed legislation that adds barriers to voting access. Across the country, we still have prominent Republicans who believe in Donald Trump’s “Big Lie” that the 2020 election was stolen.

This is just one reason that these 2022 midterms are such a high-stakes moment. Besides election integrity, Republicans could set us back decades on reproductive rights and combating climate change. If the balance of power shifts in Congress, the impacts could be devastating.

John, if you haven’t already voted early, I’m imploring you now: Get out to the polls and cast your ballot. Do your civic duty!
