Friend,
Everything is on the line in this election. In their closing ads, our opponents have made their extremist agenda clear: cut Medicare and Social Security, gut public education, stop student loan forgiveness, and reverse President Joe Biden’s work to lower prescription drug, healthcare and energy costs. They have made it clear that our freedoms are on the line and that they will only accept election results where they win.
We need people in office who side with working families, people who will stop oil companies from price gouging, drive down the costs of insulin and other prescriptions, invest in public schools, and expand the economy with good union jobs. We need patriots and problem-solvers—and that’s who the AFT and our affiliates have endorsed for local, state and federal office.

These elections are close. Voting matters, and getting out the vote matters. I know you are tired. But I have seen your determination and conviction on every stop I’ve made during our AFT Votes bus tour over the past 21 days.
Our friends, families and neighbors must vote too. If you believe, like I do, that everything’s on the line, please talk to your loved ones to make sure they’re voting. They trust you.
If they need more information about candidates on their ballot, where to vote or when to vote, pass this link on.
Everything’s on the line this election: public schools, healthcare, climate, labor rights, democracy and freedom. We must think about who is keeping us safe from gun violence and increasing costs, and who is simply stoking fear and division. We must vote and turn out the vote for problem-solving lawmakers who will fight for what our kids and our communities need. Your vote is your voice.
Thank you for everything you do.
In unity,
Randi Weingarten
AFT President
