John — Today is Election Day. If you haven’t yet voted, take time today to vote and make your voice heard.
A few things to keep in mind as you plan your voting strategy:
- Make sure you know where you will vote. Confirm the address of your ballot polling place and decide how you're going to get there.
- Bookmark or print our Make A Plan to Vote information and bring it with you.
- Decide when you will vote. Are you going this morning, or later this evening? Lines are expected to be long in many places, so dress comfortably and bring snacks. And remember — as long as you are in line when the polls close, you can cast your ballot.
- Stay safe. COVID is still lurking out there. Wear a mask and practice social distancing. Bring your own black ink pen, or a stylus or similar object for use with touchscreen voting machines. Use hand sanitizer when you are done.
- Know your rights. Call the Election Protection Hotline number at 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683) if someone asks for your ID in a state that doesn't require it, if you're questioned about your immigration status, or told that you have to cast a provisional ballot and you don’t think that’s correct, if someone tries to intimidate you, or if you have any questions about voting.
We have an opportunity to reimagine a future where we all thrive — casting your ballot today is one critical step in bringing that vision to life.
