John,
How are you? It’s been a whirlwind of an election year and Election Day is finally here. Polls are open across Connecticut so I wanted to take a moment to thank YOU for being in this with me through everything. My second term brought challenges and progress that I could not have imagined – but through it all, YOU held me down and lifted me up.
I know my team has been emailing you a lot these last few weeks. But consider this: Soon the emails will stop, soon the die will be cast, and we’ll just be left with the results.
I don’t want to leave anything on the field, John.
The truth is, we are a team. It might be my name on the ballot, but I wouldn’t have a chance without supporters like you. I am consistently inspired by Connecticut families, and in turn, you provide the grassroots support I need to fight for you in the halls of Congress.
It’s been a long fight, but we can’t tap out now. There’s simply too much at stake. We have to protect women’s autonomy over their own bodies, we have to fight tooth and nail to defend Social Security and Medicare, we have to fight to ensure American get the affordable health care they need.
These are the stakes, John. The House Majority is in your hands. When the emails finally stop, make sure you are happy with the results. Make sure you did everything you could.
I am so grateful for the goodness in people. Thank you for believing in my positive, inspirational and aspirational message.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Now, go vote (if you haven’t already)!
With love and immense gratitude,
– Jahana
