Friend,

Serving Iowans in Congress is the greatest honor of my life. I've been to every county in our district at least eight times and have held an in-person town hall in every single county because I believe coming to you where you are and asking for your feedback is the most important part of my job. Based on your stories, my top three priorities are: fighting inflation and lowering costs for families, putting a check on one-party Democratic rule, and working across the aisle to deliver results.

Lowering Costs at the Gas Pump & Grocery Store

Inflation, caused by Democrats' reckless spending, continues to be the top concern I hear about from Iowa families, farmers, and small businesses. I'm working on solutions to lower costs for you and your family. Putting a stop to reckless spending, unleashing domestic energy independence, and manufacturing more goods in America (not China!) will tamp down inflation and reduce costs for you. Iowa families live within their means and Washington must do the same — fiscal responsibility and lowering taxes for families will continue to be a top priority for me.

A Check on One-Party Democratic Rule

One-party Democratic rule in Congress has hurt Iowans as President Biden and Speaker Pelosi have rammed through out of touch policies that many Iowans disagree with. Throughout my time serving you, I have been a check on the Biden-Pelosi agenda, and have held the Administration accountable for overspending, open borders, and their soft on crime policies that have taken our country down the wrong path.

Working Across the Aisle to Deliver Results

I will work with anyone who will work with me to solve problems facing Iowa families, farmers, small businesses, and veterans. As a Member of the House Appropriations Committee, I worked across the aisle to secure millions for local projects that will make a true difference in our communities, like a new firehouse in Protivin. Additionally, I was proud to be the Republican lead on the Sgt. Ketchum Rural Veterans Mental Health Act, legislation that expands mental health services for veterans in rural areas. While the chaos and dysfunction in Washington gets the most coverage on the news, I will always tune out the noise and focus on delivering results.
