Thank you so much for being a part of our 2019. Pete for America started as an underdog campaign less than a year ago, with a few volunteers and zero dollars in the bank. We did not have the fundraising lists of a Washington politician or someone who had run for president before. We certainly did not have a candidate who had the personal wealth of a millionaire or billionaire.

But in 2019, together as Team Pete, we raised over $76 million from more than 733,000 individual donors. In the fourth quarter alone, over 326,000 people contributed to our campaign, for a total of over $24.7 million, with an average donation of $33.62. [[link removed]]

And together in 2020, as Team Pete, we will use these resources to defeat Donald Trump. [[link removed]]

This means our campaign is continuing to grow, and every single day we are building the support we need to compete in and win the Democratic primary.

What's clear is Pete has the appeal, message, and leadership to build a winning organization to not only secure the nomination, but also defeat Donald Trump in a general election. [[link removed]]

We -- you -- have built a movement and a campaign that Americans from all backgrounds and walks of life are ready to rally around.

We're seeing this in Iowa with record-setting crowds in towns big and small –– and in places that haven’t seen many Democratic candidates in a while. We’re getting first-time caucusgoers to commit to caucus for Pete. And week after week, as we visit counties that voted for Donald Trump in 2016, hundreds are turning out for Pete.

Here are a few highlights of the operation we’ve built in 2019:

During the fourth quarter, our campaign staff increased to over 500 people nationwide.
We went from zero field offices at the beginning of the year in early states to 65, including 35 offices -- the most of any top-tier presidential campaign -- and more than 100 on-the-ground organizers in Iowa.
Beyond early states, we have a team that has been actively organizing for months across the country to help foster Pete For America leadership teams leading thousands of volunteers nationwide.
