Dear Friend,
Today is Election Day in DC! You may have already joined the 100,000+ DC voters who have already cast their ballots, but in case you haven't, it's not too late.
Polls opened at 7 am and close at 8 pm. You can vote in person at any Vote Center in the city, or of course at your neighborhood precinct. You can also still drop off your ballot at any dropbox until 8 pm or drop it in the mail (it has to be postmarked for today to be accepted). Don't forget to sign your ballot!
While I've run unopposed in both the primary and general election this year, I never will take your vote for granted and I still want to ask for your support today. The huge support and endorsements mean a lot, but your vote matters most. I'm incredibly proud of what we've accomplished together over the last eight years for Ward 6 neighborhoods and our city. And that experience is going to be needed more than ever as we lead our city through the challenges we're facing - public safety, affordable housing, education, economic recovery, and so much more.
After the polls close, please join me and your Ward 6 neighbors at Tunnicliff's (222 7th Street SE) to help celebrate a big win for another term, enjoy some food and drink with friends, and even keep an eye on the local and national returns coming in.
Thanks again for your support and I hope to see you soon!
Charles Allen
