Happy Election Day!
All across the country, organizers have been working towards this day for months, pouring their hearts and souls into campaigns that will shape the next chapter of our country’s story. And win or lose, what’s most remarkable is that our partners on the ground will wake up and continue the work tomorrow – because they know that democracy is active, not passive, work.
It’s our turn to take action. Below you will find a message from my team to help you make a plan to vote. If you’ve already cast your ballot, thank you! Now you get to become the organizer – remind your friends and family by forwarding them this email and help them make a plan, too.
Thanks!
Joe
P.S. While you’re at the polls today, be sure to thank a poll worker or Election Day volunteer!
Begin forwarded message:
Election Day is just a few short days away and Team Groundwork wanted to make sure your plan to vote is ready to go!
Things to ask yourself as you’re preparing to vote:
- Is there still time to vote early in my state or county?
- Where is my polling place?
- What time do polls open in my area?
- Can I vote before or after work? Maybe during lunch?
- Do I know who I’m voting for? Filling out a sample ballot can help you get to know your candidates and issues before you reach the voting booth!
- Am I voting by mail? Do I know where to drop my ballot off and when the deadline is?
Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy and making a plan to vote can make all the difference. For more information on voting in your area, visit [link removed].
Thanks and happy voting!

P.S. Did you know you have a lot of influence on your friends and family? Studies show you are the best messenger to turn them out to vote. If you feel solid in your voting plan, take it one step further and forward this email to at least five people and ask them to commit to vote. Together, we can protect and strengthen our democracy!
Founded by Joe Kennedy III, Groundwork Project invests in year-round, local community organizing in places Democrats have gotten used to writing off. With a focus on Appalachia, the Deep South, and the Plains, we support local advocates and activists working to build durable political infrastructure and secure power for those historically excluded.
