Hi Friend,

Poll sites are open 6 AM - 9 PM today, Tuesday, 11/08, and there’s a lot on our ballots! We need New Yorkers across the state to vote for Governor Kathy Hochul and our Working Families Party Democrats up and down the ballot. We cannot allow Republicans to decide the future of New York. Our Black and brown neighbors, our immigrant neighbors, our LGTBTQ+ neighbors, and so many others are depending on us to not stay home today.

This year the Working Families Party is working to secure over 200,000 votes on their ballot line in the general election so we can advance our progressive agenda and ensure New York takes bold climate action, taxes the ultra-rich, and guarantees health care to all New Yorkers. By voting for Governor Kathy Hochul on the WFP line, you are making sure that we stamp out Republican extremism in New York while electing Democrats invested in our communities.

Most workers in New York State are eligible for two hours of paid time off to vote on Election Day, so get to your poll site today!

At the State Senate level, a few of my valued colleagues are also facing tough races. Every one of these Senators is a fighter for their communities, and I need them back in January so we can fight for fair funding for public education, the New York Health Act, a New Deal for CUNY, and leading protections for LGBTQ+ New Yorkers. We also have the chance to elect new fighters to the Senate, like Lea Webb, Iwen Chu, and Julie Shiroishi. 

Last but certainly not least, I am asking you to vote “Yes” on all four ballot measures. Vote “Yes” for economic justice and racial justice, #voteWFP, vote for qualified judges Karen Lin and Nestor Diaz, and please, vote to keep our state out of Republican hands.
