The midterm elections are today, so I wanted to share some important thoughts with you.

As our nation considers the future of abortion in America, pro-abortion propaganda is all around us—in politics, media, and entertainment. We must be alert.

Abortion advocates are desperate to make people believe that the act of killing a child in the womb is a “right." They are even claiming it’s a constitutional right to kill an innocent child.

That cannot be farther from the truth.

LIFE is the most fundamental human right that we all share as human beings, from the moment of fertilization. Once a new human life comes into existence, no one has the right to end that life, for any reason.

As human beings, we are designed to find our deepest meaning in relationships with others. Life is about loving others and sacrificing for others—family, community, and country— but abortion is a human rights crisis because it is America's leading cause of bloodshed.

Over 2,000 children will die today in America from abortion.

Laws are meant to protect the weak, and the most defenseless member of society is the preborn child, who can't speak or defend herself. Our nation, which is built on our God-given rights, is stripping the most fundamental human right from the weakest member of society.

This has to end.

John, as you head to the voting booths, speak these truths boldly to those around you who are also casting their ballots. No other rights matter without respect for the most fundamental right to life.

Pro-Life America, remember: We are just getting started, and we won't stop until we see human life protected in every state, support for every woman and family in need, and education for the entire nation.

Our Constitution already protects innocent human life. It's time to act like it.
