When we met, Rob had a fanny pack, a mullet, and flip flops with socks. I know… But I saw the potential!
And over the years Rob has more than realized that potential. I saw firsthand when Rob was a college and law school student, his commitment to helping others and addressing poverty, racial inequality, and disparate impacts through his volunteer service work with children and families in disadvantaged communities.
I saw him fight as an attorney for his clients and to remedy systemic injustices like racial profiling.
And when he was Vice Mayor and a California legislator, I saw him fight for his convictions, lead with his values, and work overtime to help deliver real solutions to his constituents.
I’ve seen how much he LOVES being a Dad and how he showers our three children with affection every chance he gets. I have experienced his commitment to me and to us — we are partners in life and partners in service, for thirty-three years now.
I don’t give Rob compliments easily. In fact, I feel I play a critical role in keeping him humble — and I do it well!
But I can tell you this: Rob is built for this job. As California’s Attorney General, Rob has and will continue to tirelessly work in service to you, the people of California. He has made your fights, his fights. If he has the ability to right a wrong, remedy an injustice, or make a life better, he will do it. This I know.
Rob’s come a long way since we met at 17. I’m proud of the leader he’s become and know that California and Californians will continue to benefit from his powerful service as your Attorney General.
I hope you’ll join me in voting for him and consider pitching in to help make sure he can get his final message out to voters.
Thank you,
Mia Bonta
